Miami And Virginia Played A 4OT Game In Which ZERO Touchdowns Were Scored
This is the worst football game I've ever watched. I would normally never subject myself to a quadruple overtime affair between Miami and Virginia in which the teams scored a combined zero touchdowns, but one of our social guys is a Virginia fan, so we were forced to have this game on one of the TVs in the office. It was sheer torture.
Miami had a chance to score the lone touchdown of the game from the 2-yard line on the last play of regulation, but opted for a field goal to go to overtime tied 6-6.
I desperately wanted the Hurricanes to lose after such a cowardly move, but UVA matched their ineptitude step for step and then some. It was a disgusting display.
And then in overtime, four drives from the 25-yard line produced four field goals before each team's first two-point attempt in the third OT failed, as well. It's a miracle this game ever ended at all.
Congrats to Miami, I guess. This game set football back decades.
